Hubert Abel
For many years, Hubert Abel has been a brick wall. All we knew about him was that he married Christina Jeuck and that they had at least one son, John Abel. Recently, thanks to the increased availability of Hessen Birth/Marriage/Death records on FamilySearch.org and Ancestry.com, the picture is a bit clearer.
Hubert Abel was born 25 May 1801 to Johann Abel and Maria Franziska Gros and baptised the next day, in Obertiefenbach, Oberlahnkreis, Hessen-Nassau, Preußen, Deutschland.1 Hubert died 28 Jun 1882, in Obertiefenbach.2
Christina Jeuck was born 22 Oct 1806 to Joannes Jeuck and Anna Margaretha Becker and baptised the next day, in Obertiefenbach, Oberlahnkreis, Hessen-Nassau, Preußen, Deutschland.3 She died 10 Sep 1881, in Obertiefenbach.4
Hubert and Christina produced six known children between 1830 and 1845, and it is estimated that they were married ca. 1829.

Joannes JEUCK's parents were Joannes Georg Jeuck and Anna Catharina Laux. Anna Margaretha BECKER's parents were Joannes Wilhelm Becker and Christina Orth.
